Wellness — Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about ORBIS GLOBAL TRADE wellness services — in 20 questions and answers.
01 Is ORBIS a clinic?
No, ORBIS GLOBAL TRADE is not a clinic and does not provide medical services. We are an independent coordination platform that organizes the medical journey: we select clinics, monitor the process, and ensure communication between the patient and the physicians. Learn more about our approach. Medical decisions are made by physicians; diagnostics and treatment are performed by the clinic.
02 What is medical coordination?
Medical coordination is the organization of the entire patient journey: from selecting the clinic and physician to post-treatment follow-up. ORBIS selects licensed clinics, optimizes diagnostics, provides interpretation, monitors the process, and stays in touch after treatment. We manage the process around the medicine without interfering in medical decisions.
03 How do you select clinics?
We work only with licensed clinics — verified partners. Our selection criteria include: the clinic's specialization, physician qualifications, reputation, cost, and location. For complex cases (oncology, transplantation) we work only with certified centers. Learn more about our selection criteria.
04 What does a check-up in Istanbul include?
A comprehensive check-up includes: a general practitioner consultation, laboratory tests (blood, urine), instrumental diagnostics (ultrasound, ECG, X-ray), and consultations with specialist physicians as indicated. An extended check-up may also include MRI, CT, and stress tests. ORBIS helps you choose a program tailored to your goals.
05 What is a second opinion and why is it needed?
A second opinion is a consultation with another specialist to confirm or clarify a diagnosis and treatment plan. It is especially important for complex diagnoses (oncology, cardiology, neurosurgery). ORBIS arranges second opinions at Istanbul's leading clinics.
06 How much does treatment in Turkey cost?
The cost depends on the clinic, the complexity of the case, and the scope of procedures. On average: a basic check-up — from $300–500, an extended one — from $800–1500, a premium one — from $2000+. ORBIS helps you choose the optimal program for your goals and budget, optimizing diagnostics to avoid duplication.
07 Can I pay for treatment in Turkey from Russia?

We are not just intermediaries — we are the architects of your medical journey.

Organizing treatment for elderly patients includes: (1) selecting a clinic with a geriatric department, (2) comprehensive diagnostics, (3) coordination with the treating physician in the country of residence, (4) support at every stage, (5) post-treatment care. We do not leave the client alone after treatment — the process continues under supervision.

Citizens of Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan do not need a visa. ORBIS assists with the preparation and translation of documents.

A medical concierge is the premium tier of medical coordination: a personal manager available 24/7, organization of all treatment stages, transfers, accommodation, language support, and post-treatment care. ORBIS provides a medical concierge for clients who choose a full cycle of care.
20 How does medical coordination differ from treatment?
Medical coordination is the organization of the process: clinic selection, quality control, communication, and documentation. Treatment consists of the medical procedures performed by physicians. ORBIS does not treat or diagnose. Our role is to organize the process: communication, quality control, and patient support.
